Fitness update ~ where are you at with your fitness goals?  Have you hit some goals?  Are you falling off the wagon?  What do you need to hit your fitness goals?

I haven’t fallen off the wagon just yet which is good considering I am back to working regular hours at my regular job.  I have had to adjust my workouts to accommodate the fact that I struggle to get up earlier.  

Getting up earlier is always a challenge but I am not giving up.  I have it as a goal and plan to get there.  It is the only way I feel I will hit my fitness goals by the end of the year.  Right now I am managing to get one workout in a day. 

I was working out two different areas of the body per day but like I said, I struggle to get up earlier.

Last Fitness Update

In my last fitness update blog post, I mentioned adding a couple new workouts for the abdominal area.  Let me tell you that the first one is a killer!  But if you don’t keep trying you may never master it!  The second one I added is a little easier than the first but I still have to keep trying on ab day.

The meditation part is coming along nicely.  It’s slow but I only do a 5 minute meditation and usually listen to music rather than a guided meditation. 

Motivation

My motivation really hasn’t wavered much. I still write out my workout plan every Sunday even though I am only working one area of the body per day.  This I think will perhaps allow me to add more for that specific area as I go along in my journey.

Another type of motivation I am using is the mirror.  No one likes to look in the mirror because it is unsettling or perhaps you are like me and don’t want to see that not much has changed in your body.

One thing I keep reminding myself is that the scale and the mirror are not my friends.  I have noticed that my clothes fit differently and people I work with have noticed the difference even though it is a small one. 

Those I take as little wins to a big journey.  You can’t expect to lose the weight and get firm and trim in just a short amount of time.  Why?  Because you didn’t get out of shape in a short amount of time. 

We all have gone from gaining weight when we truly weren’t looking.  If you are a mom of young children or teens, you definitely have not noticed because you are too busy taking care of them.  Don’t let that discourage you.  You can do this!
